For this reason, it supports the success of the 2012 Parachuting Festival by participating as a sponsor. The event is organized by the Cyprus Parachute Association and the Cyprus Combined Services Parachute Club and will take place from July 20 to 22 at the British base of Dekeleia.

“The feeling of fear is an integral part of our lives. Sometimes, it protects us. However, most of the times it paralyzes and detains us in an environment of relative security and absolute stagnation”, said Nasos Ktorides, the Foundation’s president and freefall parachutist. “Parachuting teaches you to accept and defeat fear, counting on your own spiritual powers”.

The Festival’s competition segment includes 4-way formation skydiving and accuracy landings. Those wishing to experience this exciting parachuting activity will be able to do so while feeling safer by being co-passengers attached to an experienced trainer. Further, entertainment activities will also be organized and will include games for children, aerobic exercises, music and food.
