{"id":11981,"date":"2019-05-20T08:40:43","date_gmt":"2019-05-20T08:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ktoridesfoundation.org\/?p=11981"},"modified":"2019-05-20T12:59:03","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T12:59:03","slug":"spiritofsportsmanship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ktoridesfoundation.org\/el\/2019\/05\/20\/spiritofsportsmanship\/","title":{"rendered":"Spirit of sportsmanship and fellowship strong at 8th Quantum Klirou Atovrisi Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> \u2022\tKlirou community welcomes athletes with traditional snacks<\/p>\n<p>Nicosia, May 20, 2019 <\/strong> \u2013 The spirit of sportsmanship and fellowship was strong at this year\u2019s 8th Quantum Klirou Atovrisi Challenge that took place in the scenic course around Klirou, with runners of all ages taking part in the 4km and 12km runs, as well as the children\u2019s run.<\/p>\n<p>The 8th Quantum Klirou Atovrisi Challenge is sponsored by Athanasios Ktorides Foundation, organiser of the Quantum Nicosia Marathon. <\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe were once again delighted to have sponsored this event, organised by the Dro.Me.A. Racing Club, one of the foremost groups in the Cyprus amateur running calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a Foundation we strongly believe in the \u2018healthy mind, healthy body\u2019 spirit that was cultivated by our ancient philosophers and support events such as the 8th Quantum Klirou Atovrisi Challenge, as well as other events throughout this year.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-slider\"><\/div>\n<p>The fellowship before and after the event saw hundreds of runners and their families mingling with members of the Klirou community, who welcomed the runners with traditional snacks and sweets.<\/p>\n<p>The 12km race was won by Christoforos Protopapas (Dro.Me.A.
